"So this is my home at the moment" explained Andrew as he showed her Carrie around the barge. It was extremely cosy but different from what she'd imagined. It didn't look much like a boat once you were inside of it - more like a large caravan. It was obviously very old but had an undeniable charm about it. Carrie loved it.
"Well thank you for showing me it" she said, smiling. "You have such an interesting life - I wish I was more like you!" That came out sounding more pathetic than she'd wanted to, but it lead to a very personal and intimate talk with Andrew which she was glad for. He was kind and understanding and she told him everything. "4 years?" he joked? "Yup - afraid so..." And they laughed together. She shouldn't have been surprised when Andrew moved closer to her - after all, what had she really come here for? And why had she spent so much time getting dressed up and putting make up on to meet a 'friend'? For a moment she considered backing out of the situation, but never followed up on the thought and as Andrew pressed his lips down on hers, Carrie knew she would go all the way with him without question. "Are you sure you want to?" She asked, slowing things down as he pulled back for a second. "I mean don't you have a girlfriend or something?" "Relax - we're only going to have sex." She loved those words and they seemed to hang in the air. She'd only ever slept with her husband before and suddenly felt an old sensation take a hold of her. He took her by the hand and led her through a small doorway into a closet. |
